My 3 and a half year old golden retriever loves the taste of these chews but unfortunately it doesn't calm him too much. Calming chews have a great taste that dogs love. They will beg for these as treats. Unsure about effectiveness in calming pets. This photo was taken about an hour after my boy, Ollie, took 2 chews. He's 11 years old but still has the energy of a puppy and NEVER just sits and chills - he has separation anxiety really bad and when we leave he's usually tearing stuff up, crying/barking and he gets himself sooooooo worked up. It's heartbreaking, honestly, but there are times we have no choice but to leave him alone for a few hours... So, I got these chews and gave him 2 before we left for an appointment, and he ate them right up ( which he never does as he's knows its not a "treat" - it was easy for him to chew, he showed no signs of disliking it, or acting funny, or anything like that - he had with another brand of similar stuff- and when we got home, he was legit sitting like this, all comfy cozy, watching SpongeBob! 😂 He was happy to see us, but he wasn't panting overly excited, and he didn't look like he'd been crying for 2 hours! These are wonderful! My dog loves them and it really helps him. He's older so it helps with his anxiety. Great all natural ingredients and a lot for the money! Good calming treats
These worked really well. I have a very anxious dog and he seemed to be much calmer. It doesn't smell bad and he seemed to like the taste. It's an easy lid to get off too. I recently tried the Pet Central Wellness Calming Aid Soft Chews for my dog, they have a really strong smell like tea, but they've been a great help. and I love that it's veterinarian-formulated. Definitely chilled my dog out. Works great for stressful situations for dogs. We have this to our dog on our 14 hour car ride to help calm her so she wouldn't be so stressed out. One of the Only Calming Chews That Actually Work
I've tried so many calming products for my hyperactive dogs, and the PetNC Calming Aid Soft Chews are truly one of the only ones that work consistently. I have two dogs with high energy and anxiety, and within about 30-45 minutes of taking these, I can tell they're much more relaxed but not groggy. The ingredients like chamomile, ginger, and L-tryptophan seem to really help with both anxiety and hyperactivity. I love that these are vet-formulated and made in the USA. Plus, my dogs actually like the taste, so I don't have to hide it in peanut butter like other supplements. Great for car rides, thunderstorms, or when guests come over.
