Horrible smell that won't wash off

This product leaves a terrible soap taste on everything. I tried running the dishwasher again with just water, but everything still tastes and smells like soap. I had to throw away all my granddaughter's baby bottles and nipples, rubber spatulas, and my plastic food containers that I went through the dishwasher with the Cascade Tabs because no matter how much I wash them, the scent and taste is permanent. So gross. I will never purchase this product again. What a waste.

    Not for older dishwashers

Do not use in older dishwashers with more powerful spraying cycles. Immediate leaking from the bottom of the door upon switching to the Cascade Premium Pus pods. 4 -5 inches of sudsy foam when the door was opened during the spray cycle. Changing the door seals did not solve the problem.

We're sorry to hear that this has been your expereince, as our products go through many quality checks to ensure that you can get the best possible results with them. We'd like to mention that our products are formulated to not suds/bubble/foam too much if used according to the instructions on the package. If you've washed or soaked dishes in the sink with liquid dish detergent, be sure to rinse them thoroughly before putting them in the dishwasher as liquid dish detergent should never be used in an automatic dishwasher. Some other causes of too much sudsing/foaming/bubbling in an automatic dishwasher include: -Spilled rinse aid: always wipe it up with a damp cloth. -A leaking rinse aid dispenser: check your owner's manual or contact the manufacturer. -The door gasket not sealing the door properly -The dishwasher not being level. We hope this information is helpful. If you'd like any further assistance, please give us a call at (800) 765-5516 when you have a chance.

    Don’t Dissolve

Half of the pods don't even dissolve. Spend good money on a product that you can't even trust to do the job. I won't even give them away because I don't want someone else to have the same issue. Going to go back to Finish power ball detergent. The Finish product works considerably better than these Cascadia pods.

Love the product hate the commercials. Same way with Franks Red Hot commercials. Why can't it just be a commercial instead of trying to put sex and cussing in commercials. Very lame!!!!

    Not Efficient or Environmentally Friendly

Very disappointed in this product. 1 out of every third or fourth one does not dissolve completely and need to run the dishwasher again as cannot be sure the dishes have been cleaned properly based on how much soap is left in the dispenser. The undissolved product leaves a mess in the soap dispenser and down the door. Double the water usage and double the use of the action pacs makes this environmentally unfriendly. Today had back to back pacs that failed. Not efficient at all and the product isn't cheap to not have it work. Better off washing by hand if this continues.

    Oily residue

This product leaves an oily residue on my dishes that is clear, so you think the dishes are wet, but if you ingest the oily residue it has a strong chemical taste and makes your mouth numb for a while. Right now I'm running an extra rinse cycle after the regular wash cycle, but I don't like wasting water and electricity so I'll be switching brands. My dishwasher is new and well maintained so that's not the issue.

Thank you so much for giving our Cascade Platinum Plus ActionPacs™ a try, Kris. We're very sorry to hear about your experience. While we have quality and safety checks in place, residue can be a result of several things. Firstly, please ensure that the sprayer arms in your dishwasher can move freely. Clear any obstructions that might hinder their rotation, such as food particles or debris that may have accumulated in the sprayer arm holes. Also, we recommend running the dishwasher when other household water demands, like showers or laundry, are not in use. This should remove any leftover residue, but for now, we ask that you discontinue using your pacs since they may not be up to our standard. Please call us for further assistance. We can be reached at (800) 765-5516.
