Do nose strips work?

First you need to know what 'sebum' is, and why your 'sebaceous glands' are producing it. Luckily, sebum is just a fancy word for the waxy stuff that your sebaceous glands release to moisturize and protect your skin. These glands are found on your entire body, but the majority are in that pesky nose and T-zone problem area across your face. Nose strips utilize a strong adhesive to pull excess oil, dirt, and blackheads from your pores in this area. The focal point of your face deserves to shine but not from oil, and adding a pore strip to your weekly or monthly skincare routine can brighten and lighten the load on your nose. The small but mighty adhesive fused onto every strip serves to attach itself to the very things standing between your pores and clear skin. While they do not prevent blackheads, they do help to remove buildups.

How to use charcoal nose mask strips?

Charcoal mask strips work similarly to other formulated pore strips, and are most effective when applied to a freshly washed face. Keep your nose wet for the mask strip application, as the majority of pore strips won't stick to a dry face. Dry your hands (so that the strip does not stick to anywhere but your wet nose) and open the individually wrapped strip. Peeling away the clear film, press the strip to your nose, typically with the smooth side down. Smooth out any creases and with some brands, add more water to the strip to help hold the mask in place. Depending on the required wait time, enjoy some quiet time for yourself as the strips work their magic for anywhere from 5-15 minutes of drying, hardening, and adhering deep into your pores. Like paper mache or a stubborn bandaid, the peeling off of the strip will give you the big reveal, so remove at your own pace. Rinse away any residue with warm water.

How to use nose strips?

Like your favorite charcoal nose mask methods, nose strips work similarly on the way to clear, clog-free pores.

How often should you use nose strips?

Like anything in your skincare routine, how often you use nose strips depends on your personal preference, skin type, and budget. For those with skin more prone to oil production, once or twice a week might be ideal in maintaining pristine pores, while others with dryer skin may find that a once-a-month application suffices. At anywhere from 6 to 8 strips to a box, even those with a more weekly schedule should be able to get at least a month's use out of every purchase.
