Long term effect
I first used this product about a 18 months ago, and thought it was great. It made my dry, unmanageable curls much smoother. I used it about once a week for the first six weeks or so, then about once every two weeks for another couple of months. The one thing that always troubled me was, why only 8 seconds? what happens if it is 15-20 seconds? I have shoulder length, layered hair. Even if putting on the ends of the hair, with layers it is difficult to keep it entirely away from the scalp. And after applying it, I would comb it through quickly then rinse as quickly as possible, but even so, sometimes it could have been as long as 15-20 seconds. Although I still loved the product, I was more concerned that I could not manage the treatment for as short a time as its name suggested. So I stopped. Soon after I became aware of having less hair. I thought perhaps I was shedding due to summer heat. It is now a year later, and my once thick hair is appalling disappearing. I now have no need to use a hairdryer; what strands are left cannot hide my scalp; the hair has receded about two inches from my temples; overall I would say have about a 1/3 of what I had a year ago. I have been to the doctor to see if it is health related, medicine related, vitamin deficiency, vitamin toxicity .. all negative. I feel it is this product that caused this ongoing loss of hair. How do I stop it? Is it reversable? Surely there must be a way to fix this. I have no proof that this product caused this problem, but personally, I am sure that it did. This product should have very strong instructions on the importance of Not Touching The Scalp in any way.. and Not to be used on shorter length or layered hair styles... And state up front, WHY only 8 Seconds.. It feels as light as water so it seems harmless... Appropriate warning on the label is imperative. Miracle Product!
The only product that actually tames my hair. I've tried everything, from top brands to the drug store. This product is amazing! Leaves my hair soft, detangled and not frizzy. This stuff is sooo good! The days I use it I don't have to blow dry or straighten my hair. It leaves my hair feeling so soft and healthy. Do Not Buy
Not only did it NOT shine my hair at all, but wads of hair came out. Tried twice and this happened both times. This does not happen when I simply use conditioner (except for a few strands as is normal). Best post shampoo treatment I’ve tried
I'm amazed at how soft this leaves my hair, and helps to rinse all that post shampoo that weighs down my hair and dulls the shine. Feels clean, light and soft to touch. I'll always have this!1 users found this review helpful.
