It's beyond me why the tried and true aluminum hydroxide ingredient would be exchanged for calcium carbonate of all things. This has resulted in a weaker product with a shorter acting period. This change has effectively turned the legacy Mylanta formula into a liquid version of Tums. Also, unlike aluminum hydroxide, calcium carbonate forms CO2 on contact with stomach acid which further aggrivates symptoms of gas. This does not make sense. Great taste
I love the taste and the smoothness it has going down and how fast it works. I always buy the Classic flavor. New flavor is bad
The new flavor of the "Classic" formula makes it very difficult to take. The previous Classic flavor was neutral, and did interfere with the heightened gag reflex of a person with acid or indigestion. This new flavor is more reminiscent of food items which is the last thing you want if you need to take an antacid. People at work really need to wake up. The new product does not work as well and I end up taking double, but still need more.
