Natural Bath and Body Care

What Are Natural Bath Products?
When a personal care product is labeled as natural or organic, you may understand it is good for your skin, but may not know the difference between the two. Something labeled as natural means it was produced by nature. Natural products may contain ingredients that are not completely organic. There are no regulations on using the word "natural". These products can contain chemicals. Natural does not mean it's organic. Organic products are regulated: 95-100% of their ingredients must be chemical-free, as opposed to 50-70% for natural products. When something is "certified organic'', at least 95% of its ingredients are organic. Something that is "made with organic ingredients" means at least 70% of the ingredients are organic.
What Is Natural Body Wash?
Natural body wash is an effective way to clean your skin while using ingredients your skin loves that keep it hydrated and moisturized. Many conventional soaps contain synthetic ingredients which can be linked to health problems and environmental damage. Some of those ingredients are:
Artificial fragrances
Diethanolamine (DEA)
Parabens
Sodium laurel and laurel sulfate
Triclosan
Natural body washes may contain some chemicals, but not all chemicals are bad. Some are found in nature that can be good for you. These soaps don't contain unhealthy chemicals.
What Are Natural Body Lotions?
Natural body lotion works to help hydrate your dry skin using natural ingredients like shea butter, aloe vera and coconut oil. Just like natural soaps, they contain less, if any, synthetic chemicals and work well on dry or sensitive skin. The organic ingredients work to moisturize your skin without any added chemicals or artificial fragrances. Essential oils are a great alternative to adding a natural fragrance to body lotions. Many common essential oils used are aceite del árbol de té y aceite de menta.
