The inside of the tank is covered in green mold and there doesn't appear to be any way to take it apart and get inside to clean it. gets the job done and it looks cute in my room :)

Live the product!
I really love the humidifier. The size makes it very easy to place. The night light is a great feature as well to prevent bumping the humidifier or knocking it over in the dark. The sleek shape gives it a nice appearance in any room. It's easy to fill and maintain as well. Instructions are easy to understand. Bought this about two months ago. After a month I ended up throwing it out. I have cancer and thought it would help with my cough but the problem it gets so filmy and Moldy and it's near impossible to clean. I figure this cannot be good for me to breathe in. I tried sponges, brushes paper towels and could not get it cleaned was even cleaning every 3 days since I used it only at night to sleep. Great but has buildup
I bought this back in March for my room due to me having a baby. It works great and I have no real issues with the humidifier. However I clean it weekly or twice a week due to this pinkish film building up on the parts that contain water. I live in an urban area of Detroit so I'm not sure if the water is hard or not. I use the water from my Brita pitcher inside of the humidifier but it still has this weird looking buildup.
