Suave Strikes Again...
After a disastrous experience with another Suave shampoo that underwent a random formula change (which I wrote about on this very website), I switched around until I settled on this shampoo with good, but not great, results. I usually order online, so was not able to know that my most recent purchase of this product would be a different formula than what I'd been using for some time. They've once again switched from using sodium laureth sulfate to using sodium c12-13 pareth sulfate, and I can tell. To do a skin test, I washed my hands with the new stuff, and it caused my skin a lot of itching and irritation. It also doesn't lather as well. I would not dare to use this in the shower where it would get all over me. I do not want to deal with Suave's seemingly constant formula changes and am done with the Suave brand (and with Unilever). I'll switch to a brand that is more stable and trustworthy - and yes, I am willing to pay more. EXTREME hair loss
I thankfully have naturally thick hair & my hair will bounce back cause I have good hair genes. But oh. my. God.. Seriously!! I've never experienced the type of hair loss I've experienced using this product for just a few weeks. This product causes my hair to dry out WHILE I'm shampooing into a jumbled mess, causing my hair to tangle VERY easily, which leads to all the breakage I'm now dealing with. My hair feels like straw rn and I'm tossing this product where it belongs. In the TRASH ✌️😤 I tried to be fair and give it a few chances bc most drugstore haircare is good, (despite what most think) but this product actually does suck and is hands down THE worst drugstore shampoo I've ever used, & that's saying a lot!1 year agoWe're so sorry to hear you had this experience with our Almond & Shea Butter Moisturizing Shampoo.
