A thin splinter of wood came off in my mouth with a fork. Another time a tiny chunk of wood came off when I was stirring food with a fork. Brought this product for Thanksgiving dinner. I was expecting 20+ guests. I loved the cutlery. Sturdy and pretty. Also helping the environment. I definitely recommend it. I purchased two sets. One was missing a spoon. The other included no forks.
