[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This foundation is supposed to cover and treat acne. I'm 38, and I never had acne, so I have no idea why I was chosen to test this foundation. Oily skin doesn't mean 'skin with acne'. But will share my experience anyway. First of all, the shade #ivory is a little bit too pale for me, but with blush and bronzer it looks fine on my skin. This foundation has medium cover, don't oxidize. But on the other side, it's drying my skin. So I could use it only paired with really good moisturizer. Im sure, it would work better on a younger skin. Not cakey, great coverage, it’s perfect!
I've been using this product for so long and it has always given me full coverage, doesn't make me break out and it is never cakey! Only foundation I dare to apply on my face
I have been using this foundation for 20 years!! It is amazing, great coverage and it doesn't clog pores. The few times I had applied other foundations, I've gotten pimples :/ This one mattifies, it is not oily at all and I love what it does for my skin. I am addicted to this product and will never stop buying it. So far so good
My skin is very sensitive, acne-prone, and oily especially in the summer. I've never had luck with foundations that didn't instantly look oily. I prefer a more matte look when it comes to foundation. SO I decided to try this and to test it out, I applied it on my face, then took my 2 dogs out for a walk on a hot, humid July evening. And when I got home, my face didn't look oily at all. Great for sensitive acne prone skin!
I have been using this product for many years now… Even before it got its current packaging. I have very sensitive, acne prone skin, and this foundation is really great. It's just enough coverage to hide imperfections and even the skin tone without looking cakey or heavy. It's also really nice because it dries down as to keep you from getting oily but it doesn't cause your skin to become dry. I also really appreciate that it's fragrance free. Formula has changed
I agree... The formula has changed, and I do not like it. WHY do companies mess up a good thing?? Almay, if you want to change the marketing by creating a different label, fine.... But please don't mess with the formula!!!!!! This new version wears a lot drier. The color "Buff" has still been the best match for me, and I don't think the color has changed much on my skin... But the formula isn't what it once was. And what it once was, was what I used for over 10 years. It was the best foundation I'd ever used up until last year. WHY ALMAY? Why did you change it? It isn't buildable in my opinion... if you try, it comes out cake-ier on the skin. I want the old formula back. Great for oily skin
