My skin is very sensitive, acne-prone, and oily especially in the summer. I've never had luck with foundations that didn't instantly look oily. I prefer a more matte look when it comes to foundation. SO I decided to try this and to test it out, I applied it on my face, then took my 2 dogs out for a walk on a hot, humid July evening. And when I got home, my face didn't look oily at all. Great for sensitive acne prone skin!
I have been using this product for many years now… Even before it got its current packaging. I have very sensitive, acne prone skin, and this foundation is really great. It's just enough coverage to hide imperfections and even the skin tone without looking cakey or heavy. It's also really nice because it dries down as to keep you from getting oily but it doesn't cause your skin to become dry. I also really appreciate that it's fragrance free. Formula has changed
I agree... The formula has changed, and I do not like it. WHY do companies mess up a good thing?? Almay, if you want to change the marketing by creating a different label, fine.... But please don't mess with the formula!!!!!! This new version wears a lot drier. The color "Buff" has still been the best match for me, and I don't think the color has changed much on my skin... But the formula isn't what it once was. And what it once was, was what I used for over 10 years. It was the best foundation I'd ever used up until last year. WHY ALMAY? Why did you change it? It isn't buildable in my opinion... if you try, it comes out cake-ier on the skin. I want the old formula back. Great for oily skin

When I was in middle school bullies would make fun of my skin so bad I didn't want to go to school. Some days I wouldn't want to leave my house. My face is covered in a congenital nevus. A beautiful face covered in a nevus that looks like craters on the moon. When I got into high school I saved up my money and tried every foundation known to man, I finally found the magic, Almay Clear Complexion, it saved me. It covered my uneven texture and pink/red/brown pigmentation like nothing else could. I gave me a little boost of confidence I never had before. Now, it has been discontinued, and I am back to the drawing board after 20 years of continuous use. The last year has been painful trying to find a replacement. The new formula doesn't work ( Green bottle with a V). It is transparent, cake like, and oily. Almay, if you're reading this, please consider helping those of us loyal to you for decades. Please keep heal my pain. The feeling when a small child looks at you and asks innocently "what's wrong with your face?" is a heartbreaking feeling you helped me escape from before, please help again. Please bring back the old formula!!
Like many of the 1 star reviews, we cannot use the new formula (bottle with a large V). About a year or two ago the formula changed. It makes me break out, oily skin, and cake like appearance. The last year I have tried to replace the old formula and no luck. It is so frustrating. I have been loyal to this foundation for well over a decade and BOOM GONE! I don't understand these bad reviews. I'm obsessed with this foundation. I had to find a new foundation because my go to from another popular brand had been discontinued. I almost passed this foundation because of the bad reviews. This foundation has not broken me out and it doesn't leave my skin cakey. I actually like this foundation more than my old one. Cambiaron los tonos
Llevamos varios años utilizando esta base mi mama, mi hermana y yo, todas usamos tonos diferentes; hace varios meses nos dimos cuenta que los tonos que manejaban cambiaron y hasta el momento no hemos logrado conseguir el tono deseado, vienen muy oscuros y con tonalidades naranja.
