- Sí, recomiendoRIchardReviewed 6 years agoI forgot to bring my Double Edge Razor, Brush and Creme with me while on vacation in FL. After a couple of days of not shaving, I went to CVS to pick up a razor and shaving creme. I am a devout DE shaver. There were many different choices of razors to choose from and I was getting a bit overwhelmed by the selection. For some reason, I decided on the CVS Blade 5 Men's Razor as the price was significantly less than the Gillette Fusion 5. I wasn't quite sure what to expect with the quality of the shaving experience. I was pleasantly surprised by the high quality of the razor handle, blades and holder. The shaving experience was extraordinary far exceeding my expectations. The blade cut effortlessly through my stubble, did not "tug" the whiskers, and provided an outstanding shave with no razor burn or nicks that can sometime happen on a DE razor. I did some research and found that the Blade 5 Men's Razor is actually made by Personna. CVS's Balde 5 Men's Razor is identical to the Personna Caliber 5 System from the handle, blades, and holder. Personna is now part of the Private Brands Group which is a division of Edgewell Personal Care. "The Private Brands Group of Edgewell Personal Care is the world's oldest and largest producer of private label razors. We have over 135 years of wet shaving legacy and serves major retailers worldwide. We work closely with our customers to provide a consumer- focused and category-driven perspective on private brands." Overall, the Blade 5 Men's Razor is a terrific value, provides for an excellent shaving experience, and one that I would highly recommend to others.2 users found this review helpful.
