This product is amazing at cleaning dishes. BUT… if yoyr dish is not glass, ceramic, or metal, it will leave an ENORMOUS soap build up on your dishware that comes through in the taste of liquid or food you put in the dishware! My coffee put in plastic cups, of soups stirred with plastic utensils tasted SOMUCH LIKE SOAP that i could not eat/drink the food or beverage.Reply from cascadeclean.comHace 9 mesesThanks for leaving your review, Truth is truth. You might want to check your dishwasher's filter and sprayer arms to make sure they're not clogged. Also, dish/cookware made of cast iron and plastic can absorb odors. If certain items always pick up an odor, they could be old or worn to the point of being porous, which can cause the detergent scent to be more easily absorbed into the surface. We recommend washing these items by hand. Make the Plattinum Plus container Recyclable!!!!!
It is CRAZY that the platinum plus tubs are made from #5 plastic but cannot be recycled due to the metalic label. This was flagged a year ago on this forum. Leaves strong taste on dishes
Im a big fan of cascade products in general whoever the ultimate leaves a strong taste on the dishes. Not sure if this has been an issue for others but not willing to try again. Although the dishes did clean very wellReply from cascadeclean.comHace 10 mesesWe always expect you'll be smiling at the beautiful shine you're getting from your Cascade Platinum ActionPacs with Fresh scent, and not having the sadness you've described. It may help to know that some materials, such as cast iron and plastic, can absorb odors. If certain items always pick up an odor, they could be old or worn to the point of being porous. This can cause the scent of the detergent to be more easily absorbed into the surface, and these items should be washed by hand. It may be possible to remove the scent from the dishes. Fill both detergent dispensers with white vinegar. If dishwasher isn't designed with dispenser cups, put two cups of white vinegar in a non metallic bowl and place it on the bottom rack of the dishwasher. Then, REMOVE ALL METAL ITEMS from the dishwasher. (Vinegar is too acidic for metal items, but is safe for stainless steel dishwasher interiors.) Run one wash cycle without adding any detergent. Let us know how this goes by calling us any Monday through Friday, from 9 AM to 6 PM, EST. It's worth the money
I am a dishwasher nerd. I've tried every type of dishwasher detergent out there from every brand and every style whether it's gel pack powder… Something about this product is different from even other products in the cascade line. The platinum product is the only one I trust to completely remove all types of food residue the first time. My entire Thanksgiving dinner went into the dishwasher with food bits of chicken potatoes vegetables, forks with bits of corn, glassware, too! Trust me - the dishwasher nerd - this product will not let you down and it is worth the extra spend. Doesn’t leave my dishes cloudy! 💚
I definitely will be purchasing these regularly! I was able to get this sample of the Cascade Platinum ActionPacs from P&G! One wash , without rinsing my dishes prior, and it gets everything!
