Too ashy and pale
I am highly disappointed with this newer product when the last one was wonderful which served me well over the past 20-30 years. It was recommended to purchase 101 porcelain to replace fair clar as it's not found in stores, only on line. I ordered one and am returning it. It is such an ugly ash pale in the bottle and not the same. It simply is awful to have discontinued a product that so many used and saying should be brought back. Another good product GONE
I have used this product for well over 30 years. I thought I was losing my mind because I couldn't find Fair Clair, even online. So I bought the 2 I thought were closest to it. To say I'm absolutely disappointed is an understatement, so I came here to see everything has been changed. It sucks because when you find something that works and blends with your body, you stick with it. Not-So-Improved Formula Has NO Shade of Light Pal
I simply can't fathom why on earth they would try to "improve" upon something that didn't need it- whatsoever. The only single and consistent make-up item I've used since age 14, has been Covergirl Clean Invisible Concealer in Light Pale...... I'm now 51 so that's 37 years. I literally have relied on its magic ability to erase dark circles and miraculously hide imperfections, every single day, without fail. I LOVED the stuff and had so much appreciation for what it did to help my appearance in 5 quick seconds a day. I suddendly ran out and found out my teen daughter had recently discovered the wonders of my concealer and apparently figured I wouldn't care if she used it up- which I did.... I immediately went to buy a few more since I always keep one stashed in my car, at work & at home, so Id buy several at a time so I'd never be without. To my horror, the familiar looking tube I rely on daily was no where to be found, so I decided to try the apparent replacement. I knew I was was going to be let down again, when I realized my impossibly perfect shade of Light Pale, was not even carried over to the (not-so) "improved" formula. I bought the closest match anyway, what do know- it horrible and not even close to the older one. It's really a bummer because I've made countless attempts at finding a higher end or better performing concealer, and it imply doesn't exist. I've tried tons of different brands at every price point, but have always returned to my trusted Covergirl in Light Pale: alwsys easy ro find in any town across America, completely affordable , and always performed perfectly as expected. I've always really appreciated Covergirl for not messing with a good thing that people already loved, like so many other brands do and then always screw it up.. Unfortunately, here we are and it finally happened.....and it looks like I'm not the only one disappointed or upset about this. New formula is not good
Agree with previous low ratings- this is not a good replacement for the Invisible Concealer Fair. the coverage is not good. Disappointing
I can't find a replacement for the 115 fair. It looks like they discontinued and the "new" product isn't the same. They don't even offer the same colors.Reply from ErinHace 9 mesesHi there! Don’t Change What Isn’t Broken
I have always used Covergirl Clean Invisible Concealer - medium. I thought I was going crazy because I couldn't find the medium shade anymore. I tried to match with a different shade and not only didn't it match but the formula is different and it's terrible. I can't understand why you would change your product AND the shade when the original was great. Shame on Covergirl Corp for making this change. Now I can't find anything that was as good as the original. Too many changes to keep the product name the same
A few months ago I noticed a change in the Covergirl Clean Invisible Concealer product. I have been using this product in the Medium shade for at least 10 years, it was a wonderful product. I was confused by all the colour choices with the Concealer product. I don't understand the decision to go from 5 shades to 12 shades, most companies reduce inventory instead of increasing it. I was able to find two unused Invisible Concealer products in Medium online but paid double what it was when I purchased it at a local drug store. After reading the reviews about how different and horrible the new Clean Invisible Concealer is, it appears as it I will not be buying it in the future. I will have to find another concealer. If you were going to make such a drastic change to the formula and shades, you should have renamed the new product instead of confusing the situation by keeping the name, reducing the product amount per cylinder, and changing the formula/ingredients.
