    Sorry, they leaked.

    Bring back the former black and gold cells which were very good. These red cells are Made in China hazardous stuff!

    Horrible, die quickly

    These are the worst batteries I've ever used. We went through a 12 pack of AAs on a for 2 night camping trip using a mini lantern and headlamps that were only on for short amounts of time in the evening. Had to replace all batteries each day. When they die, they die completely all at once, no gradual dimming. I bought several packs of these in all different sizes. All of them were junk.

    Run down faster than any batteries I've purchased.

    My entire pack of 12 CVS Max Alkaline batteries, used in my computer mouse, is nearly spent after a few weeks. Same deal with the ones I put in an LED flashlight. These batteries are dead in days. In both applications, my two-year old CVS rechargable batteries last longer between charges than the Max Alkaline batteries' entire life. A second pack I have at work are just as feeble.

    Most excellent

    Last year I got a new DVR that came with a new remote control. The new remote had a backlight that was very useful as it also had more and smaller buttons than the old one. So, I use the backlight a lot. As you can imagine, this drains the batteries quickly. I tried all other major brands in the new remote, but they'd only last a month or six weeks at most - even the expensive "lithium" ones. I gave this a try and they have been the most long-lasting batteries in the remote - at least 2-3x longer.
