It’s glucose, not so tasty that you’ll snack on it
If you're a type 1 diabetic who's trying to maintain a blood glucose around 80 to 90 mg/dl, you will occasionally take too much insulin, and your blood glucose will drop. Then you must raise your blood glucose. You might actually die if it gets too low, though I've been a type 1 diabetic since 1970 and I'm not dead yet. Anyway, eating pure glucose, or these tablets of slightly adulterated glucose, will raise your blood glucose fairly quickly without having you ingest a lot of food. I'm supposed to be reviewing 50-tablet jars of strawberry-flavored tablets. They taste good enough that if you need to raise your blood glucose, you'll eat some without much hesitation. They taste bad enough that you probably won't snack on them. That's good. The price on the shelf is a bit high. I usually buy a similar product at one of those huge stores that sells their version for a lot less, but CVS keeps giving me discount coupons that make their version competitive. Thank you, CVS! I'd rather you just sold these for slightly less than the competition does - glucose is dirt cheap if you buy enough - but please keep giving me coupons so I keep buying! Raising my low blood glucose with actual glucose is much better for me than doing it by eating candy, and your largesse with coupons is (perhaps literally!) a lifesaver!1 users found this review helpful. - Reviewed 2 years agoSí, recomiendoFácil de usarDe 5Valor De 5Cumple mis expectativasDe 5Calidad De 5
