I love the thickness of these Moleskin Foam Pads. I use them. As a type of Off-Preassure treatment for diabetic ulcers I have at the bottom of my foot. After cleaning and dressing the wound, I use a Skin Tac Adhesive Barrier Wipe to protect the skin around the wound and let it dry. I then cut out a circle in the middle of the pad and place it over the wound then wrap my foot with with a little gauze. I finally can walk with little to no pain and because it takes pressure off of the wound, the wound can heel quicker. My only concern is that the adhesive tape is hard to peel and sometimes leaves paper residue behind preventing it from sticking correctly. These also good to put into shoes to prevent blisters. - Dorothy DReviewed 6 years agoMy dog ate a strap on my sandals and I had a shie repairman sew a new piece of leather to the existing leather. But the stitches irritated my super sensitive skin so I covered them with this moleskin. It was too thick for this purpose so it also irritated my skin. I peeled a layer off but that didn't help. To be fair, I have neuropathy in my feet so anything rubbing really hurts. This would probably be fine for most people.1 users found this review helpful.
