Reliable Acid Relief

These are gritty once melted in mouth….
Omeprazole is definitely a go to item for my chronic heartburn. This time around I thought I would try the oral-disintegrating tablets, since the capsules I normally buy were out. The medication works - after I deal with the grittiness of the disintegrated tablet. I won't recommend this version of this product, because who wants SAND in their mouth. It starts out like it should-berry flavored. Then it rapidly disintegrates and flavor disappears, and sand-consistent proton pump inhibitor appears in your mouth. CVS you failed on this one, time to go back to the drawing board! Worst generic Prilosec ever!
Trying to get the tablets out of the blister packs was a chore. Little pieces of tablet would fall off. Even worse, the tablet starts melting immediately after putting it in your mouth. A 24-hour release medication should not do that.
