The crusher works fine but with its textured surface on one surface, the pills cannot be crushed finer than the thickness of the texture. Having a smooth finish on both surfaces would allow you to make the crushed pills as fine a possible. This is important when blending with a liquid to administer orally using a syringe. Broken not crushed

Works ok
I had to crush up a large antibiotic pill to mix with pudding. I first broke it in half before putting it in the pill crusher. It took a fair amount of effort to get it going, but once the pill started to break up, it got easier. It didn't crush it down to fine powder, more like a mix of powder and little chunks, so I dumped it out onto parchment paper, folded the paper over the powder and used the flat end of the crusher to further break down the pill until it was super-fine and mixed easily with the pudding. Not what I expected or needed
Good idea and quality.
