Disappointed in New Formula
Who knew Ivory not only got a packaging change, but a formula change as well?! (A note stating "new formula" on the packaging would've been appreciated as a heads up!) Not only does it not have the same feel, the same smell (even though advertising boasts it does), it does not perform the same. This was my go-to soap for a skin condition (for > 15 years) that literally is exasperated by all "facial" soaps and ivory was the only cleanser I could use that didn't cause irritation. I started having flare ups again after noticing the changes in the new package of Ivory. It is now explained. Please consider returning to the old, original formula, or at least offering it as an alternative. As a side note, the bars don't last nearly as long either, and leave a huge amount of residue on the shower rack, and we go through a 3 oz bar very quickly any more, which of course, costs us more money. Ivory soap no longer floats
I am bothered that the new Ivory bar soap no longer floats. That was such a helpful feature of the soap. Why would you eliminate it? We have always used Ivory bar soap when camping specifically because it is biodegradable and it floats! It won't get lost in the creeks, rivers, lakes, or ponds that campers use for bathing and at home in the tub it's easy to find if dropped. wha happen to youse soaps?

Not Great Anymore
I was shocked the other day when I took the wrapper off the new bar of soap. It felt different and it sunked to the bottom of the tub. It may smell the same, but it is NOT the same. I will no longer purchase this soap. Amazing!

The soap that no longer floats
I used Ivory all my life. I was a loyal Ivory girl. Since they changed the formula, I hate it. It used to be advertised as the only soap that floats. Well, it doesn't float anymore. That was one of its selling points. If you dropped the soap in the tub, you could find it easily. They're greenwashing it by saying it's made with plant based materials. That's code for "we're cheaping out and changing a trusted formula to line our pocketbooks." Very sad. Why don't manufacturers get it? If it ain't broke, don't fix it.
