[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received a free sample of John Frieda Go Blonder Lightening Shampoo and Conditioner from Pinchme in exchange for my honest review. I was a bit skeptical about a lightening shampoo & conditioner's ability to lighten my hair. During winter months my roots and highlights darken because I am not in the sun. The first thing I will say about Go Blonder is that it has a pleasant citrus smell. It lathered well and rinsed out easily. After my first use I didn't see a lot of difference, but by my third use my roots were lighter and my highlights looked like they do during the summer months. Very pleased with it. I understand there is also a spray. I plan on buying all 3 for use during the winter months. This product is going to work like a dye, don't expect to go from a dark hair color to a blonde, but it definitely lightened my roots and brought out my highlights without leaving my hair looking brassy. LOVE IT

Helps with brass
