Going to be a long 7 weeks !
I have been using Loreal hair color for over 25 years. I have used both Excellence & Preference. # 9 in the winter & #8 in the summer. I like to go a little darker in the summer ,because of the sun which lightens it. I saw that L'Oréal came out with a new product, Cool Supreme. Using the chart, I bought 8UA. Well my hair is now brown ! So, unless you are looking to become a brunette....stick to what works. It is going to be a long 7 weeks ,till I can dye my hair again !!! Color result is based on the natural haircolor and not the color-treated hair. You have gone darker by using 8UA, and if the application was a full head, it will make your color-treated hair look much darker. A root touch-up application is the way to go when coloring frequently, and if your color looks faded, you bring the color onto the length and ends for the last 5-10 minutes. When it is time for your next application, please remember to follow the instructions for the touchup application! The color results of the shade 8ua is much darker
I just used this shade. Thank goodness after I pulled it through to my ends I only left it on for a couple of minutes. I would have ended up with brown hair. Now I look like I have an umbra effect. I'm hoping it fades. If not I will have to get some highlights put back in. I have been using L'Oréal hair color products since the late 1980's.Reply from L'Oréal ParisHace 3 añosHi there! I was excited to try this yet very challenged by the reviews I read here. I will tell you… it is called ultra ash… meaning, it will be ash and darker than a natural shade… that is ash… this is intense, nurturing, moisturizing, made my hair silky and it was so gentle to my hair I am literally loving this product! I wanted a lighter result yet ashier than my light ash brown therefore I used the dark ash blonde and achieved the darkest shade on the box which is beautiful and a great shade for me. TOO DARK!
I have been using Excellence 8.5 for years...medium blonde. I bought 8 in this new product and I am literally a brunette for the first time in my life! Color turned out TOO dark
I bought 8 UA ultra ash medium blonde and used it over medium ash blonde loreal that had been applies 4 weeks before. The color turned out to be medium brown. Not happy with these results.
