This turned my UNDYED hair horribly. My roots are light brown and my mids a mop brown. No gray coverage. I'd understand if I had other dyes in my hair but I didn't.Reply from L'OrealHace 2 mesesHi Theebz! We apologize you did not achieve the expected results with Feria, M26-Violet eclipse. We know how disappointing it can be to look forward to a new application of color only to find that your results are not what you expected. Feria is not a gray coverage product and is not recommended for covering gray! We recommend Excellence Creme for gray coverage. Feedback from our customers is valuable to us when making decisions about our products. Your feedback is appreciated and will be shared with others in our company.Saludos,LeCare0 users found this review helpful.Originally posted on lorealparisusa.com - notredheadedReviewed 10 months ago
Misleading—not auburn!
Calling this shade "auburn rose" is misleading and so is the color displayed on the box. There is nothing auburn about it. I used it on medium brown hair and it only made it a darker brown. Highly disappointed as I've never had issues with other Féria colors and it's not at all what I expected. I am a seasoned box dye user and followed the instructions as the box said, so I don't think it's user error. I don't know why they wouldn't just advertise it as the honest color, as it's a very pretty rich brown. It's just not auburn or rose in the slightest. And now it might be too dark to dye over with a red that's closer to what I wanted. The only reason it's getting 2 stars instead of 1 is that my hair is in pretty good shape and is very shiny and soft, so at least it didn't ruin my hair on top of being the wrong color.0 users found this review helpful.Originally posted on lorealparisusa.com - Dbo93Reviewed 10 months ago

It's usually not the fault of the product!
I've been using V28 for 10+ years. I LOVE IT! I have, long, curly, dark brown hair that is now about 50% Gray. I use two boxes and leave on for 45 minutes after my hair is completely saturated. Because I have dark brown hair and lots of gray, the gray comes out really bright purple and the rest looks almost black and overall very shiny, but when you go outside, especially in the sun, you really see all the purple on the darker hair. I'm not a licensed stylist, but this is what has worked for me for over a decade...don't use it on bleached, overly dry, or brittle hair. As with any hair dye, your hair has to be healthy enough to dye it and get the proper results. If you have long hair, use two or three boxes or you won't get full coverage, and make sure you leave it on long enough. This may take a couple attempts to get it right for you. Even though it's a permanent hair dye, it's still going to fade faster than a salon quality dye. Make sure you completely dry your hair after you're done and avoid chlorine at all costs. Four things I do to make it last longer; 1. Use quality products, specifically meant for your color, hair type and the condition of your hair, 2. Only wash it once a week. If you can't go that long, use shampoo once and only conditioner the second time. Another option is to use a good dry shampoo, 3. Don't automatically go to the max temp setting on your styling tools. My flat iron max temp is 400° and I only go to the temp where it works on my hair. There isn't a root coverage product available that works exactly with V28, and since I have about 1/2" of grow out at six weeks, my stylist advised me to not do a full coverage. Only do the length/portion you need to cover the grow out, and about 10 minutes before you rinse it out, cover the rest of your hair. To those people that have left negative reviews, please make sure you're doing everything you can do to make the product work for you, before you blame it on the product. Also, for the people with 1-2 star review and the "I don't recommend this product.", because it was "Not what I was expecting.", or the "It's not like my old product!", and the "It really stinks!" If you're trying a different product, especially another brand, it's going to be different. Dying your at home can be a crap shoot. The odds of getting what you really wanted the first time are slim. If your expecting to get the same experience and result as your old product, don't switch. And the last thing...hair dye usually stinks. If it bothers you that much open a window. My request to all reviewers. Don't leave a bad review for reasons not directly related to failure of the product itself. For those of us that love this product & color, we'd like to have it not be discontinued because of undeserved bad reviews. jmho0 users found this review helpful.Originally posted on lorealparisusa.com - FrenchieReviewed 1 year ago
Great color
I've been using "45-French Roast for at least 10 years. I love this color and the way it shows highlights immediately. My only complaint is that it is difficult to find this color many times.Grab it when you see it!0 users found this review helpful.Originally posted on lorealparisusa.com - Sí, recomiendoDeziLooReviewed 1 year ago

Wrong name. Should be Used Charcoal not Silver
I had level 9-10 blonde hair that turned nearly black with this color. It's mostly smoke not silver so beware. Luis the fade out is looking very ashy and I am afraid of what will happen if I try to recolor without bleaching which can make it hard to know what color you will get next anyway. I have always had good luck with Féria products but this needs to be shown as one of the dramatic changes with how dark and black it came out. If I'd wanted black they have those colors in better shades than cigarette ashes.Reply from L'OrealHace 2 meses¡Hola, SouthernTinkerbell!
