I conducted my testing over three days. The first day, I took the hearing test which the documentation reads is used to calibrate the aids. Honestly, I could not tell a difference after inserting the aids vs. what I heard before I put them in. It did seem the sound had a slightly electric sound to it. I left them in all day and removed them when I went to bed that evening. Admittedly, I felt my ears were in worse shape after removing the aids; by that I mean they were in worse shape than before I put them in earlier that day. I repeated the process the next day with exactly the same results. The third day I was cantoring in a local Church. Admittedly, I was running late and couldn't repeat the hearing test. After inserting them, I felt the sound was exactly as the previous two days. It was not a good performance; I felt I missed the proper note to begin the hymns. I also made several technical errors. I don't know whether I had an off day or whether the hearing aids interfered. They didn't improve things, though. During readings and the homily, the hearing aids did not improve my ability to hear. I eventually got so frustrated that I removed the hearing aids and put them in my pocket. Happy but ...
I purchased the Lexie B2 Plus after one of my Lexie B2 would no longer take a charge. This occurred after 14 months. I really like the sound quality and adjustability using the app. The streaming audio with my android has not been the best, but I don't use it enough to figure out if I am doing something wrong. A big improvement
I liked my first generation Bose hearing aids but disliked having to replace batteries. The Lexie B2 hearing aids have rechargeable batteries that last all day. Once I used the new hearing aids I noticed improved sound quality for higher frequencies and an improvement in the ability to hear quiet conversation. There is also less likelihood of feedback when something gets close to your ears. I like the ability to hear phone conversation directly in the hearing aids. Lexie cautions that streaming music won't have the same fidelity and I definitely notice that when I listen to podcasts on my walks. I can hear again!
I had no idea what a difference these would actually make. I went from saying huh and what's that to almost anything ever said to me, to being able to engage in life again. For years I had avoided being in conversations because I was ashamed that I always had to ask people to repeat themselves. My hearing was to the point where it felt like I was under water and the people taking to me were not. The Lexi B2 and B2 Plus put me back on dry land. I still have say huh to low talkers but who doesn't! I'm so thankful for my hearing aids as they have changed my life for the better. A strong recommendation for hearing aid buyers
I got my first prescription hearing aids in March 2019, but when they recently gave out, I decided to try the over-the-counter Lexie B2 Plus. I picked this model because of Bose's solid reputation and my good experiences with their products. So far, during the trial period, I'm impressed-the Lexie is just as good, if not better, than my old pair. I did have some trouble streaming phone calls at first, but Lexie Support helped me sort it out. That said, the Bluetooth connection drops a lot on my new Android phone.
