They are way too drying and look horrible in my opinion. It has a very creamy and moisturizing quality, and has buildable coverage. You could add a little for just a tiny, or keep layering for a more dramatic look. It has a nice soft formula and the color I received was Hot Chase. Its a beautiful, bold red color. Im not usually a huge fan of finishes other than matte but this was a nice change.
