Bring back the old formula!
I tried this being loyal to the OG Hydroboost, having used it for years. I knew right away the formula was difference, this new feels like it sits on top of my skin without sinking in and is sticky. The packaging is also smaller and I feel like I need to use more product to get the same level of moisturized. Unfortunately, I will be looking for a new daily moisturizer now.Reply from Neutrogena1 week agoHi there, thanks for taking the time to leave a review. New ingredients are bad for your skin.
The change in formula is so dosappointing. It's one thing if the formula changes and it's still good for your skin, but the new ingredients in this "upgraded" version are more acne-causing and irritating BY FAR. Compere the old formula's ingredients to those in the new formula and you will see how big of a problem this is. The old formula had NO acne-causing or irritating ingredients, and this one has at least 5 or 6. I'm so disappointed and will no longer be buying from neutrogena. I've used this product for several years and loved it, but with this new formula I unfortunately don't trust them as a company anymore.Reply from Neutrogena2 weeks agoThank you so much for bringing this to our attention! Mediocre Replacement for Extra Dry Gel-Cream
I was one of the many devastated by the Extra Dry Gel-Cream being discontinued. When I moved across the country, it was the only product that didn't break me out, make my skin red and uncomfortable, and didn't leave me oily. I purchased this product in hopes that it would be an even better version of the gel-cream, or at least on par. While it doesn't make my skin red, it does make my skin feel hot when I put it on, and it takes a few minutes for that to dissipate. It's enough so that I had to look if it were supposed to have a warming effect.. Performance-wise, it absorbs well and doesn't leave me shiny, but it does leave my skin feeling like there's a slightly sticky or waxy layer on it. I'll probably keep using this while I work on finding a new moisturizer, but unless something changes while I do so, I don't think I would purchase this again. I'm in Texas, and the last thing I want in summer is a moisturizer that reacts with my skin and feels hot. It's really a shame because I really wanted to love this product as a replacement, but my skin looks fine and just feels icky when I use this.Reply from Neutrogena3 weeks agoThank you so much for bringing this to our attention! Horrible! Bring back the old extra dry gel cream!
Please bring back the old formula!!! This instantly caused my face to turn red and itch. Never had a problem with the old fragrance free gel cream extra dry version that was discontinued. Had used that for years without problems!Reply from NEUTROGENA4 weeks agoThank you so much for bringing this to our attention!
