I'm so disappointed y'all got rid of the Original scent…. AGAIN!!! Why?! It smelled so good. Lessons from the "New Coke"
When Coke revised their formula to build the perception of improvement of their product it backfired on them. Very much the same case with the Nivea Original. The executive from Coke was fired because if his lack of connection with the consumer market and changing the success of a product which was not in need of "fixing". If you want to keep your customers satisfied, return to making the Original formula. Compare the sales with your Original versus the less-preferred new formulation. I, like many others posting here, prefer the Original over the inferior new formulation. The question is...what are you, Nivea, going to do about it? Stay the course and lose customers or return to the original formula and improve customer retention, sales and satisfaction. Companies which fail their consumers and market, ultimately will fail themselves.
