Leaves no cotton residue.
Purchased for cleaning small parts not for makeup. I can see it would work great for makeup, unlike cotton swabs the fibers don't pull off.0 users found this review helpful.

It was very useful for applying my makeup.
When I could no longer find the makeup applicator that I use to buy, I bought those and that product worked just the same. Good buy
The multi-purpose applicators were bought by me for eye shadow. i really didn't need this many but I had a coupon which helped with the cost. I have many left and hopefully will think of them for other uses.
