Good but not in me
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Rhyme & Reason Quench & Curl Shampoo is filled with many wonderful ingredients. I was super excited to test this out. My hair has a waive but because i bleach my hair it need tots of moisture. What I really enjoyed was the smell it's absolutely delicious. The scent last in my hair forever. It left my hair feeling super clean. I so wanted to love this shampoo but it just didn't work for me. It made my scalp super oily and it made my scalp a bit itchy. On the other hand my daughter has 2B curls and it worked great for her. She loves it. It made her curls tight. It gave her hair the perfect amount of moisture. She is definitely going to continue to use it. The shine in her curls have been looking amazing. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This Sulfate free with a light peach smell for curly hair shampoo helped keep my hair from frizzy days. The packaging is great because it's recyclable and eco-friendly for the environment. A little bit goes a long ways so you won't be having to re-purchase anytime soon. You will like the Shiz butter, desert peach, and ceramides that are blended into the shampoo to give a 92% naturally derived cruelty free and vegan Shampoo experience. My hair is naturally curly so this product was very helpful when I wear my hair straight or curly using a hair diffuser or flat iron. Rhyme & Reason Quench & Curl Conditioner
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] But butters and oils did wonders in this beautifully formulated conditioner. Firstly, a little goes a long way especially when sprinkling in more water to spread the product. Using my detangling comb in conjunction with this conditioner I was able to comb my coils from root to end, in one single motion. That's not always a thing on wash days for me. This conditioner was so satisfying. Just watching my hair ringlets bounce after smoothing and brushing through my mane made me really feel good about my hair under the care of this line. My hair response met the mark. I enjoyed the conditioner more than the shampoo but I can't help but to boast about both because they compliment one another, which a lot of other brands lack a true shampoo to conditioner connection. As a beautician of the past decade, I can see myself bringing this into the salon to use on my coils and curly clients. Love the Rhyme

The Rhyme & Reason company has taken many steps toward providing their customers with quality and ethically sourced ingredients. The company strives to make a product that is both environmentally conscious as well as mindful about the performance of their products. Rhyme & Reason Quench & Curl Shampoo is very mild on the scalp and will leave your hair feeling refreshed without completely stripped of all its natural oils. Fair Shampoo!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] First of all- I love the packaging! Very cute, nice muted colors which makes it feel modern and at the same time, timeless. I have curly hair and on the curly hair chart I would be considered somewhere between 3b/3c with high porosity. This means my hair absorbs water and hair product very easily and is more than often frizzy! I always begin my wash day with a rinse to remove product build up. I rinse my hair with an ACV concoction, let it sit for a couple of minutes and then rinse it out. I began shampooing my hair by following the instructions on the box of the Rhyme & Reason Shampoo, which said to massage into a rich lather from root to tip. I like the consistency of the shampoo, it was like a thick gel. It lathered good, but as I rinsed it out, it felt like it left a little residue on my hair. I did not like how my hair felt overall. It felt kind of sticky and stringy. I definitely want to give the shampoo another try still- maybe the next time will be a little more promising. After using the conditioner and styling though, my hair felt moisturized and bouncy. Brought my curls back to life!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Ever since I bleached my hair my curl texture has been so off. I've tried so many products to try and bring it back to life with little to no luck. After using this my curls were looking some of the best they had in a long time! Still didn't bring them back to their former glory which I don't think anything but growing my hair out and not bleaching it will do. As for the product itself the smell leaves much to be desired, it is not enjoyable at all to me personally. I can't even describe what it smells like exactly it's a very unique smell. It does foam up nicely though as you would hope a shampoo does! Very lightweight as to not weigh down your curls. Left my hair feeling clean but not stripped of any moisture or hydration. Paired well with the conditioner and overall did a wonderful job for my curls! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] "My hair was eventually squeaky clean!"As a wig stylist for theater and a cosmetologist of 35 years+, I have come across various hair types and textures. Naturally curly hair can be more difficult to manage, especially if there are variations in texture across the whole head.This is the case for me, my hair texture has become more coarse and porous with hormonal changes and loss of natural color (yes, white hairs). This, coupled with naturally curly hair, has brought about unruly styling and frizz.One challenge I experience personally is product buildup, as I have to use a lot of gel and wax to keep my hair under control.I tried Quench & Curl Shampoo ~ for curly, coily and textured hair and …. my hair was eventually squeaky clean! When I rinsed it clear, I could feel how the product 'residue' had been stripped. At this stage I felt it definitely needed a conditioner to re-coat the cuticle scales. I coupled this with its sister conditioner, Quench & Curl Conditioner ~ for curly, coily and textured hair. It was a brilliant pairing!The shampoo aroma was fruity... peachy… clean.I needed a tad more product than I usually do, to get a good lather. This new cruelty free, sulfate free, parabens free and made from blend of nut butters and oils product just what my hair need.I washed hair with this shampoo as usual and noticed very pleasant aroma of peach and citrus.Before I applied conditioner I felt that my hair softer, more shine and detangled.Good to know that this Haircare product (shampoo) safe for hair and scalp and dermatologist approved.I recommend this shampoo for the dry, curly and textured hair. **This review was created through an educational promotional event hosted between the brand and beauty experts.**
