Great oil terrible plastic can.
I have used this oil for years and it's my favorite oil. This new plastic container needs to stay upright or it will leak. Also when pulling the cap off the whole spout comes off. With the new packaging I can't use this without getting oil on my hands. The oil is fantastic, but, this container is awful. It's bad enough I'm thinking of alternatives. Just because the packaging is cheaper doesn't mean it's better. Also the plastic is far worse for the environment, it can't even be recycled because it's laden with oil. stuck rusted bottom bracket on bike
I have enjoyed using 3 in 1 oil my whole life. i was restoring my 1981 bike and encountered a rusted and stuck bottom bracket cup. no penetrating oil would help.i thought about the properties i had observed with 3 in 1. it doesn't evaporate! every thing else i tried would disappear. 3 in 1 oil applied once soaked for three days. it took considerable effort, but less than with the other products that didn't work. the part began to move! i got it apart! best multi-purpose oil ever.0 users found this review helpful.Originally posted on 3inone.com - Sí, recomiendoLeebo72123Reviewed 4 years ago

Telescoping spout leaks

The best multi-purpose oil you can buy.
This stuff is the best. I use it for any joint that needs lube. I use it constantly for my knives. My bedroom door has been squeaky since we moved in. I was tired of it, so I grabbed a rag and my old bottle of "3 in one" I have had for years. It stopped the squeak. I even bought a new bottle today because my old one is almost empty. Terrible Plastic Can
When I first bought this in a plastic can I thought it'd be good (the tin ones were sometimes a little temperamental when lees than half full). Does the manufacturer not test the new plastic can before imposing it on old loyal customers? The first leaked everywhere and I thought I was unlucky and bought another. The tops do not function properly and are crazy hard to get on and off before they split. And the flow rate is totally uncontrollable. I'm now looking to buy and old fashioned oil can to dispense what I have left into. 3 in One Oil
I've used this product for as long as I can remember. In use it on everything including all of my firearms. The old metal bottle was the best. I bough the plastic bottle. It's terrible. Thank goodnesses I had it in a zip lock freezer bag within my ammunition bucket. It leaked all over. Bring back the metal can with the push down lid. That type of can never failed me!
