Great Meter
The meter seems to be accurate and is easy to use. The Bluetooth pairing with the phone and app wasn't hard at all. I like tracking my evening and morning blood sugar levels the app makes it easy. The thing that is the biggest disappointment is the case. Tried to put everything in this case but it was to small to hold everything for a trip after opening it wrong everything dumped out all over the place. You would think the thicker portion of the case would be the base and the thin part the lid, but the thin part of the case is the lid and the thick part is lid. The case is small enough to hold couple of days worth of test stuff but not big enough to hold testing stuff for a week if you test 3 times a day. All the extra's had to be shoved into a baggy. Found a new case on Amazon to replace the poorly design case by Accu-Check. Accuracy of an Ouija Board
Some raters place the accuracy of this meter at 93%. I've used one for quite a while now and am learning that 78% is closer to the reality. I'm a little late to the dance with my assessment, but hopefully this will stop some user from being duped into thinking they're performing well in the blood sugar game. Example: this past week I used my Accu-Chek Guide after fasting overnight then immediately went to the doctor to have have my six-month blood work done. The meter indicated my glucose level was 87. Perfect or so I thought. An hour later, LabCorp reported that it was 112. There was not even a drop of water consumed between the tests. My bloodsugar did not go up by 25 points just from driving 7 miles to the doctors office and walking across the parking lot. I'm also learning that the strips for this meter are noticeably more expensive than those of the competition who offer higher rated meters. So, my advice is to spend a little more money on your meter and get something that gives you a more accurate readings.
