Some raters place the accuracy of this meter at 93%. I've used one for quite a while now and am learning that 78% is closer to the reality. I'm a little late to the dance with my assessment, but hopefully this will stop some user from being duped into thinking they're performing well in the blood sugar game. Example: this past week I used my Accu-Chek Guide after fasting overnight then immediately went to the doctor to have have my six-month blood work done. The meter indicated my glucose level was 87. Perfect or so I thought. An hour later, LabCorp reported that it was 112. There was not even a drop of water consumed between the tests. My bloodsugar did not go up by 25 points just from driving 7 miles to the doctors office and walking across the parking lot. I'm also learning that the strips for this meter are noticeably more expensive than those of the competition who offer higher rated meters. So, my advice is to spend a little more money on your meter and get something that gives you a more accurate readings. calibration off and no test solution
Picked up as a backup to my CGM. First time using it and it was 90 mg/dl over my Libre 14. I'm hoping that after picking up some test solution the numbers will come closer together. No Bluetooth app for newer iPhones
Surprised how difficult to open very cheap plastic case. States it is Bluetooth compatible but fails to provide required app for newer iPhones. It’s user friendly

Just what I needed!
My ancient blood glucose meter when haywire while I was out of state on vacation. When I returned, CVS had what was needed. I needed something simple without lots of complex "setups" and options. I also ordered enough lancets and test strips in order to assess what my levels were doing throughout the day at critical moments. Great meter!6 users found this review helpful.
