Best face makeup ever

Major breakout after several uses. At first I was very impressed and thinking, " I've found my new everyday foundation", as I thought the color blending was good and it didn't seem to cake or dry out my skin. But after several uses, I had some atypical breakouts and at first I didn't make the connection. But after multiple uses and horrific breakouts, even on my eyelid and earlobe, I have come to the conclusion that this product doesn't agree with me. I wish it had because I really did think the color matching was good and the product felt light and comfortable on my skin. I tend to have slightly sensitive skin, but this extreme breakout is like nothing I've experienced in my adult years. This reminds me of horrible teenage acne when I wasn't as diligent at washing my face and I routinely went to bed with a face full of makeup and I wore heavy foundation. Anyway, my hormones are not raging, I have good skin care, have no history of any breakouts as such in recent years, so the only think I can attribute this to is adding this product to my beauty regimen. I'm glad to hear others are not breaking out as I have, because I really did like the product until my whole face had these breakouts. 54 years old and this is for us!
Don't believe negative reviews. I have tried everything, liquid, sheer tints, baked, mineral powder, and I keep reaching for my Almay smart shade light. The coverage is beautiful. It's hydrating. It stays and stays and stays. It really is the best I've used and I am very happy with it. Simply the best!
I’ve tried many light weight foundations.i won’t go anywhere without makeup (I’m 57) I’d wear my expensive full coverage all the time because I couldn’t find a light weight inexpensive one that covered and stayed on.well for all you girls that are like me (feel naked with no makeup)this is the best ever!going to the gym,the post office,dropping the kids off whatever you’re doing!keep your expensive makeup for special occasions!💃🏼this goes on so easy and covers my dark spots but is still a light weight daily foundation…also I wear contacts and this is so light I can put it all over my eyes and eyelids and it doesn’t bother them.most foundations bother my eyes I’m very sensitive.love this product!0 users found this review helpful.Originally posted on almay.com - PhillyDReviewed 8 months ago
Allergic Reaction Twice
I loved this product both times I used it. However, it is Not hypoallergenic. And I am fed up with products claiming they are, especially makeup. Within a couple hours my face got red, and swollen. My under eye, eyelids, eye brows and forehead swelled up. And it felt like I had gotten a sunburn. The first time I used it and it happened I attributed to something else. But this second time, there was nothing I ate nor changed in my environment and the same thing happened. My histamine level is thru the roof and I feel slightly anaphylactic. This happens with almost all brands of makeup, on me. But I have used Almay for years, hoping to get a good experience. Nope. Don't believe any negative reviews. I'm a big fan and loyal customer. I've been blessed sensitive skin and a skin tone that is not easy to match. I've tried many different brands - everything from high-end to drugstore to dollar store. Smart Shade, Light Medium Mine is my go-to everyday foundation because it provides just enough coverage to improve the look of my skin and it adjusts to match perfectly. I have very dark under eye circles. The light/medium coverage is buildable so I dot on a second pass as a prep for under eye concealer. There's no creasing, cracking and it wears well all day. I've recommended Smart Shade to several friends who have complimented my skin and are as picky about foundations as I am.
