Must echo the comments of others. The new packaging has come with a new formula that is absolutely awful. We used to enjoy these for a quick side dish. New recipe tastes bad and horrible value.
I have purchased and ate Betty Croaker instant potatoes for decades but there new recipes are bad and cheap tasting. The new packages are horrible value for the price. Really disappointed. The new recipe is way too muc
Really disappointed. The new recipe is way too much for my son and I, and the amount of butter it requires is absurd. I used half the amount but then the texture is off. Even with the recipe as is, they are more watery now and just not as good. I really wish they would go back to before. Betty Crocker's new recipe Instant Mashed Potatoes is a real disappointment. The packaging has changed so that only one pouch is for sale. The amount of liquid to be added has increased, producing a more watery texture. The taste reflects the increased salt, sugar and moisture. What happened to these instant mashed potatoes? They used to be decent for a quick potatoe. Now, the new and improved recipe is like a gummy, thick paste. This new version of my go to instant mashed potato
This new version of my go to instant mashed potatoes is absolutely horrible. Not only are they more expensive, but the taste and texture are not of the same quality as the previous version. Betty Crocker Creamy Butter Mashed Potatoes have been my go-to for a long time. I've bought cases and cases of them. They were wonderful until recently. The package is smaller and the price is higher. The caloric count per serving is higher and the recipe is way different. That being said, they taste nothing like the higher quality product my family counted on from you. These taste like the cheapest quality generic mashed potatoes.
