Corn Remover
Corns are bumps that develop on the feet and other areas of the body due to friction and pressure. This excess layer of skin is usually hard, and although bathing and scraping can help soften it, using a corn remover is essential. Thankfully, CVS Pharmacy® offers a wide selection of corn removers to remedy this condition.
If you wear shoes or heels regularly, the friction it causes can harden your skin. This is usually a good thing because the hard skin aims to protect the tissues in your feet. However, it's not aesthetically pleasing, and it could be bothersome for many people.
Corns are very similar to calluses. However, calluses do not cause tenderness and pain. Although corns will not bring you any adverse health effects, they can be very uncomfortable
Corn and Callus Remover
Corns and calluses are very common for people who have sweaty feet, those who stand for a long time, and people who wear ill-fitting shoes. It is also more common in women than men. But what is the difference between the two?
Corns have a very hard center which is surrounded by irritated or inflamed skin. It usually has a round shape and is smaller. When pressed, it is also very painful, unlike calluses.
On the other hand, calluses are larger and vary in shape. Calluses are very common on the sole of your feet, especially in the heel area, as well as the palms of the hand. Meanwhile, corns affect even the parts of the skin that don't bear any weight.
So how does a corn and callus remover work? This medication can treat skin and foot warts, aside from calluses and corns. It is part of the class of drugs that includes aspirin, and it works by promoting moisture in the skin. Corn removers dissolve the substances that make your skin stick together. This makes it simpler to remove the dead skin cells.
How To Use Corn Remover
A corn remover can be used once or twice a day for up to two weeks until the corn or callus is removed.
First, wash the affected area and make sure it is completely dry. Then, apply the corn and callus remover sparingly, but make sure it covers the entire area. Let it dry and soak your feet in warm water for five minutes to help make removal easier. You can use a protective patch to cushion the affected area during treatment.
