Typically, matte makeups do not contain oils to provide the wearer with a flawless, polished or "sophisticated" appearance with no shiny spots. Acabado mate makeup gives a velvety, air-brushed appearance without reflecting light.
Matte finish makeup is ideal for people with oily and combination skin types, but those with dry or mature skin with wrinkles should avoid this finish to avoid emphasis on dry patches and lines.
How To Keep Makeup Matte All Day
To create a flawless matte look all day:
Add oils to your skincare routine to keep your skin moisturized and smooth.
Use a primer before applying the matte makeup.
After applying your matte makeup, set with setting powder (not spray) for that flawless, velvety look that lasts all day long.
How To Get Flawless Matte Makeup
Prepare your skin by cleaning it gently, then applying base.
Then, either use your setting powder to help absorb oils at this stage or apply the matte finish makeup foundation. Some experts recommend using a foundation brush for a smooth, medium-to-full coverage.
Follow with a damp sponge to blend around the jaw, neck, and hairline to reduce a heavy appearance.
