Pretty good ice pack
The package insert says this ice pack will last 8 hours if you use it for 30 minutes on, then 30 minutes wrapped in a thick towel, and repeat. Haven't tested the on/off method yet. You can also use this ice pack for continuous cold therapy, but it won't last 8 hours; we got 2.5-3 hours of cold from this ice pack used continuously. It's a bit pricey at $19.99 but it does last longer than most ice packs. It might be helpful if the package stated "up to 8 hours when used 30 mins on/ 30 mins off" instead of learning this from the insert, after purchase. This ice pack stays cool for hours so you don't have to keep jumping up to change cold packs. I feel that is important if you are using it for a lower limb injury. I do wish it was a bit mote flexible when it comes out of the freezer. It has a nice elastic band which helps it stay in place. Finally an ice pack that stays cold for hours!
The design of this ice pack allows it to stay frozen for many hours. It is not soft and comfortable, rather it is hard and has nubs but unless you are sitting on it you probably don't mind the firmness.
