I thought there was a slight chance that I could be pregnant, so I took this test to ease my mind. Almost immediately, a very faint blue "positive" line appeared. I was shocked. Most internet sources said that false positives were incredibly rare, so I spent the evening panicking. I then took 3 more tests from a different brand, all of which were negative, but I was still scared. I got bloodwork the next day and I was in fact NOT pregnant. I am both relieved and frustrated, as I trusted a drug store to sell high quality healthcare items. To see that hundreds of others have experienced this as well (some of which were given false hope and then left heartbroken), I'm even more angry. 3 False Positives
I took 3 of these tests over 2 days. The first day showed a faint line within 5 minutes, but I heard about the frequency of false positives so I decided to wait until the next morning to test again to be completely sure. The next morning, I used this test and within 2 minutes a blue line appeared showing positive. I ran to my husband between 2.5-3 minutes of taking the test (I had a timer) and he looked as well and without a doubt, definite positive. Before I called my OB, I wanted to take one more around lunch. Same thing. Before the 2 minute mark a definite blue line appeared. My OB knew how long we'd been trying and ordered a blood test. It came back negative. 3 false positives within a 2 minute time frame. Our hearts and spirits are crushed. I hope CVS recalls these products. False Positive
I got a positive test, then saw the reviews on this post. I dipped a second test in water and there was no line, so I thought that it was real. However, I then took several First Response tests over a few days and everything was negative. I took not one not two but 8 tests they were all so clearly faint positives within seconds of me testing not sat out read before 2 mins and it was the same at the 2 minute mark. Tested with EVERY OTHER BRAND AND GOT NEGATIVES . Been trying so long for a baby cvs you BROKE MY HEART AND GAVE ME FALSE HOPE I WANT ALL MY MONEY BACK AND I WANT TO SUE YOU GUYS FOR PAIN AND SUFFERING. I bought a pack of 2, no control line on either after following instructions exactly. False Positives
I urinated on this test this morning, not realizing yet I had my period. It showed me a positive response, but I'm currently menstruating. Don't get your heart broken- go to Target and get a pack of the First Response or Clearblue for the same amount of money. False positives
Just like many others, I got a faint false positive using these. I have been trying for actual years now. I know how pregnancy tests work, and this was a test line that came up immediately, and had color. It was not an evap line, and had too much color to be an indent. Other name brand tests were completely negative. This is ridiculous. The cheapie tests strips from Amazon are more reliable than this. That shouldn't be the case. Only reason for 2 stars is that I've used these and been pregnant and they do show positive then. Please do better.
