I received these and tested them out when I had to check my levels. The break away tip protector easily opens to expose the small pointed needle. You can barely feel the prick when puncturing the skin. Flip the tip cover back over and toss in the trash. I received the CVS Health Lancets Micro Thin 33 Gauge 200ct. a couple weeks ago with the meter kit. They work as the should and buying CVS brand will save money compaired to other name brands. I got this because I am hypoglycemic and while I usually have it pretty well controlled and know the signs thar it's getting low my doctor hounds me about tracking it. This monitor is easy to use, small enough to carry with you and comes with a handy zip pouch for it. The test strips are small and come in a little bottle that the reader fits on the top of which is a great design idea. this is an excellent needles. The quality is excellent, they don't bend when do the finger sticks. very easy to install and super convenient for on the go. Great to use
These are very thin but definitely get through the toughest skin. My job makes my hands rough and with these I had no problem getting through that tough skin..
