READ Tanya 11/20/20 Review for PROPER directions
Directions are not CLEAR on Manf. booklet. Please read TANYA's review which gives a clearer understanding of how to remove WHITE plastic covering; and by the way it is just another layer of covering. Once that is removed you can THROW it away. I broke the first device trying to remove white plastic covering. Bought second one and looked for a video on youtube to figure out what I was doing wrong, then came here and Tanyas review was specific on how to remove that WHITE plastic piece that is simply another cover. Watched a YouTube video to figure it out
Just a note because I think other negative reviewers are having the same problem I did. The photo in the instructions made it seem like just the clear plastic part comes off. From watching the video, it was clear that actually the entire upper third of the device is the top. Once you set the depth to the arrow, grab the white piece where the arrow display is, and pull that whole thing off. Read the directions. Once I figured out how to switch the tops, this became my favorite lancing device. I use freestyle and cvs brand lancets with this. I don't know why the other reviewer said they couldn't use freestyle. The spring action is quicker than my other devices, making it less painful. Also, I love the long top for alternate site testing. I use on my forearm, wrist, above knee, and different parts of my hand. When you press down with the plastic tip, it creates a vacuum that makes a bigger blood drop. It was a game changer for me. I used to have trouble getting enough blood for my reader, especially on alternate site prices. I would definitely recommend.5 users found this review helpful.

Decent backup device

Simple, inexpensive, comes with DIRECTIONS
There is nothing complicated about this device and my guess is that these negative reviews came from people who never read the directions. It works fine for me and was pretty inexpensive. Ignore the negative reviews.2 users found this review helpful.
