Needed
Have leg vein problems and heart as well as foot and knee problems. light weight compression stockings

They are not worth the money. The L/XL are Unisex. I was born a Woman and they don't even fit my foot and I wear a size 9 shoe. Edema of left calf
Recommended by vascular surgeon as an aid to minimize the edema (caused by surgery for an aneurysm over 10 years ago). A Couple Issues
You know those tiny "T" shaped plastic fasteners they use for attaching the socks to the packaging? Well these things are embedded into the sock material so you end up ripping the sock threads while de-packaging. So I assume that after a few washings that tiny hole you created will enlarge into a big hole. Other than that, I like the socks.
