Bought a different brand at the same CVS store 2 1/2 years ago. I cannot remember the brand, but it was superior in quality and spring loaded. It cost about $2 more, as I recall. I understand CVS wants to offer its brands, but it should also offer other options especially if they are superior in quality. Gets dull too quickly
I use this nipper on my husband's toenails, which are thick but not extraordinarily so. They work well for 3 or so nail trimmings. By about the 5th use, they are too dull to cut the nail of the big toe. Since there is apparently no way to sharpen them, I keep replacing them. This is a waste but I am able to use CVS coupons and ExtraBucks to purchase replacements.
