The CVS Health Sport Sunscreen is good product for a good price. The sunscreen is not too thick or too thin and has a nice scent. Wonderful spf
Ideal sunscreen for days I play tennis. Packaging is functional, and pretty. Product looks white, but quickly disappears in my olive skin. CVS Health SPF 70 Sport Sunscreen
I received this item for free from @influenster in exchange for review. Skin type: The points mentioned below will be made from someone that is a 42 year old caucasian male with combination facial skin of Irish/Italian ancestry. Feel/Texture: In the past, many sunscreens especially those marketed as waterproof or for sport where one would be sweating a lot either were too thick and made my face sweat more by not being able to truly breathe or they would cause acne breakouts if worn too often. This product states that it is light-weight and I can attest that it did not feel like those heavy caked on sunscreens of the past. When washing my face before bed my skin felt clean and clear with no post-sunscreen residue. This is a thin consistency sunscreen for once! No dryness or excessive oiliness was experienced. SPF 70: After applying this to my face, scalp, and neck I did spend over an hour and a half outside pulling weeds in the flower beds and in spite of working up an incredible sweat on a very sunny day I did not have any sun burns or even any slight pink coloration from overexposure to the sun. Application Amount: I found that this product actually provides quite a lot of coverage on a very small amount used. As an example, putting an amount on my finger that may be close to the size of a dime was enough to cover my face entirely without needing to add more. If I had I think I would have run into absorption issues by over applying unnecessarily. I did not have to reapply and was outside for a total of 2 hours in direct sunlight but I caution that is just my own experience with my skin type. White cast: This point fits well here after mentioning the application amount because while I did not experience the dreaded white casting on my face I can see where one could experience this if using too much and trying to force the situation. So I would honestly start off using the absolute smallest amount to see how this sunscreen covers your own face and then if you need more do another small amount this way you do not have the white casting but even more so will get more longevity out of this sunscreen due to reduced waste from over applying. Application time before sun exposure: It does state to apply to your skin 15 minutes before sun exposure. Sport/Sweat/Water Resistance Duration: Product states up to 80 minutes for water resistance. Eye comfort: While I was outside and sweating a lot I did try to use my shirt to rub off perspiration before it got into my eyes as well as I could. I can say that I did not experience any eye irritation or discomfort if any of this product did get into my eyes. I also wear contact lenses so for any of you that do as well while using this product hopefully that is also helpful to know. Chemical or mineral sunscreen?: This sunscreen is a chemical sunscreen consisting of 3% avobenzone, 15% homosalate, 5% octisalate and 10% octocrylene. I did not experience any issues but be mindful with any product applied to the skin on one's face for those of you who commonly experience irritation or allergic reactions easily. Price: This product at the time of writing this review is listed as $10.29 online at CVS. Personally, as a budget conscious shopper I feel that this price is just a little high for just 2.5 fl oz of sunscreen but what I will say is if you are new to shopping at CVS make sure you sign up for the free ExtraCare membership and then routinely check for sales on CVS branded products such as this along with coupons in your account via either the mobile app or online in the desktop account access because if you are like me, especially right now, you want the best overall value in product quality and cost. I've been using the CVS Health Sport Sunscreen for Face SPF 70, and it's surprisingly great for the price. It goes on smooth, blends in quickly without leaving a white cast, and doesn't feel greasy. I love that it's sweat- and water-resistant, which makes it perfect for active days outside with the kids. It also doesn't sting my eyes like some other sport sunscreens do. Great spf face sunscreen
The sunscreen is so great because you don't have to apply as often because of it being 70 spf. This isn't oily or leaves a white cast after using it. Nice strong sunscreen for face
I coach soccer and am in the sun a lot. Always need to have strong sunscreen and I've used this for my face in the past. Not oily, goes on easy and does the job. Packaging is well, comes out easy, a little goes a long way.
