    Junk and bad service

    Less than 2 years old won’t stop beeping filled out form online for replacement no response can’t contact by phone no answer's just on hold

    great smoke detector

    Have started replacing our old smoke detectors and this brand seems to be good, and glad it is carried by CVS, and coupons can apply

    Short battery life

    Poor battery life. Kidde claims the battery should last 10 years. Mine started beeping at 2.5 years.

    Failed in a year

    Almost exactly one year from date of installation one of the three smoke alarms began failing. First with intermittent chirping, then non-stop. The other two (2 feet away in the hallway, and 3 feet away in the adjoining bedroom) were silent because there was no smoke. Annoying for a supposed 10 year sealed alarm.

    Terrible

    Piece of crap. Photoelectric is suppose to be less sensitive to water vapor from a shower. It would probably go off if I breathed on it.

    Not what was advertised

    The 10 year smoke alarm lasted less than 2 years. Instructions on how to deactivate it and dispose of the alarm are a bit obtuse. I feel they should send me a full refund.
