Quickly wore out can opener (75217PS)
Can opener (75217PS) wore out too soon and will not open cans. This was a replacement for a old Proctor Silex opener that had a broken cutting lever. I used the new 7521PS opener mostly to open a few tuna fish and Campbell Soup size cans. The drive gear that rotates the can around slips and won't advance. Drive gear teeth are worn down making the gear is too small in diameter to hold the can lid lip in place. The opener starts to open can and then slips off dropping the can. The defect with gear seems to be from improper heat treatment and hardening. I can scratch the drive gear with a fingernail file. Its too soft.
