Whether it is Special K Protein or the Original - the 2025 expiration date has serious quality issues. They say it is uncooked rice and hulls. Disappointed again!
I have been a life long cereal lover. At age 15 I switched from the sugary sweet cereals of the day to something more healthy in Kellogg's Special K. I am know 65 years old and have loved Special K for 50 years. Being my review brings only a single star you already know what my complaint is. As I look at the other reviews it is evident that you are loosing a lot of customers due to the quality of this product. The hard crunchy pieces are the drawback. I stopped eating Special K nearly 3 years ago because of this flaw & swore I wouldn't eat it again! But because of my love for the taste, about every 6 months I would buy a new box hoping that you were thru your bad batch or whatever you were subjecting us loyal customers to. Each time I would be disappointed. But I kept trying and kept trying, surely I would tell myself they will correct this problem. Bought a new box last week and was disappointed again! I do not want a new box of cereal, I do not want reimbursed, I do not want excuses, what I do want is for you to tell us WHEN Special K will return to its original recipe and taste. Hard bits
The taste is great I bought the regular special K for the first time normally buy special K protein and have no problem with it. The regular has hard bits in it I was worried it had bits of plastic. Awful Rick's in Special K
I bought Special K. These rock hard pieces cannot be chewed and I fear breaking or chipping a tooth. Disappointed
Special K has changed tremendously in these last years. Why the company did that is beyond me! It feels like I'm chewing little stones or gravel. Why change something that wasn't broken. Hard objects in cereal
Bought two boxes yesterday. There are small pebble like items in it. I have not had special k in a while so I thought maybe I needed to let the milk soften it up a bit but it didn't help. Icouldnt even eat it, was afraid I'd crack a tooth. I will be calling Kellog.
