It does absorb very well and i would consider it breathable as well as it is a thin pad. Feels like nothing was there

Since the pads are pretty thin, I only use on the light day. Making the switch to these pads

It makes me feel more protected on heavier days too and locks in odor. The best part is how soft they are. They don't have that plasticky top layer, so they're much more comfortable to wear.
