Irritates my eyes without much to show for it
I bought this mascara because I've been searching for something comparable to Max Factor 2000 Calorie Mascara ever since they discontinued their line in the US. I've tried so many brands, and fell back on Cover Girl because most of their products have always been stellar. This one, not so much. It doesn't do a whole lot for defining or lengthening my lashes, and it most certainly does clump. Need a few coats for any added volume or darkening of lashes. Now here's the worst thing about this particular mascara... Every single time I wear it, my eyes get incredibly irritated, red, itchy, and water like crazy, so much so that I end up having mascara get into my eyes and run down my face. I always end up regretting putting it on and wanting to take it off immediately... Not sure why it's so irritating as I've rarely had that reaction to any makeup in the 25+ years that I've been wearing mascara. I wish this wasn't the case, because I actually really like the brush on this wand, it's actual bristles AND curved, which is an elusive combo in this day and age. Mascara is soft
I love this mascara though it's not lengthening. I use the brown, but it seems to have been discontinued? Is the simply ageless line discontinued? Regular ok mascara

Smeared
I bought this a month ago and the two times I wore it I had racoon eyes where the mascara left black marks under my eyes. Never has any other Cover Girl mascara done this to me. Here are some tips to help prevent mascara from smudging: -Always apply a thin even coat of mascara and leave it to dry before applying another coat. Then allow to dry again. -To avoid smudges on the eyelids, apply mascara to lower lashes first. Open your eyes wide and tilt your chin up when coating the upper lashes. Take the wand from the very base of your lashes and stroke through the length of the lashes with a side-to-side movement for optimum coverage. -If smudging is happening later in the day - This can happen if the mascara becomes wet. Try using a waterproof mascara. These are the most resistant to moisture. They are best for when there is heavy rain, or if you are showering and swimming. Thick lashes
I bought this mascara because I had run out of my normal expensive mascara. I was pleasantly surprised on how well it covered my lashes with its curved applicator brush. It definitely filled them in and made them look nice and full.
