Ziploc was the "go to" when it came to putting things up, "was" as these bags may be good for something but nothing liquid. They do not seal in anything liquid. They leak at the seals from end to end. I have concerns about the new stand up bottom
I purchase food in bulk or cook in bulk and fill Ziploc freezer quart storage bags for portion control prior to freezing. Since the new design, I found most times when I thaw food, there is leakage from the bag. It's not the seal at the top, it's the design on the bottom. I will admit, filling the bags is easier but dinner prep requires me to put the bag in another container to collect the liquid when thawing.Reply from ziplocuspwrHace 6 mesesOh dear! I hate the expandable bottom.
The expandable bottom on the quart freezer bags have no advantage for me. I like freezing my bags nice and flat on a cookie sheet and these are awful. After freezing, I stood the old ones up in baskets. I have tried taping them. Too much extra work. I own 4 freezers. I didn't think it was possible to be more loyal to this bran

Ziploc bags keep my freezer foods from getting freezer burnt and they last much longer in the freezer compared to other brands. These particular bags are a complete game changer!! Love it!

Excited to try these!

I have always paid more for better Ziploc style bags and typically buy the Slider Freezer bags. I have tried several brands, and only a few stores have a generic that I will purchase in a pinch. I purchased these today because I found that when I'm cooking at home, I'm using too much meat in meals and producing larger portions than we like. I felt like downsizing from a gallon to a quart would help me reduce waste with the cost of groceries these days. This being said, Ziploc offers a very sturdy product that I feel confident that my meat is safe about a month or two in the freezer without any issues. I tried this particular style and was actually shocked in the opening and closing of the bag. The design is top-notch and has a larger side for you to grip to open. That is a game changer. I can't stand fighting to open a bag as I'm trying to package raw meats. The bags are very sturdy, even when filled with water, it was able to close easily, and lay flat without leaking. Freezer bags for the WIN
