When I received the Kinsa smart thermometer from stellar testing, it couldn't have come at a better time. With my oldest starting school this year, we have been fraught with illness in our household since October, each child (and parent!) making their way through whatever Virus decided to come home with our kindergartener. Downloading the app was easy and quick. It paired with the actual thermometer fast, and I was taking temps within 5 minutes. It took a little bit of practice because other thermometers that I've used required you to hold the button while it was reading, but this is a one-press situation and also requires that the child be perfectly still for that 3 seconds as the thermometer must be very close to the forehead to ensure a good reading. Compared to other styles I've used, this is more convenient because I don't have to do two swipes across the forehead and I have had consistent reads. In checking the app, it does show you the risk of certain illnesses in your area and helps you navigate certain symptoms, which is helpful but also a little alarming, as we need to make sure we look critically at all information we receive and make decisions based on fact and seek out medical advice when necessary. Very Handy Thermometer
I received the product as part of the Stellar Product Testing Panel. Thankfully it came just in time when my husband and daughter were unfortunately getting sick. I really enjoy using this thermometer! My daughter doesn't enjoy when I actually have to hold a thermometer to her forehead so this is perfect! It's quick and seems to be accurate! It's nice that it automatically records temperature readings on the app (if it's open) so we can more easily monitor the temperature fluctuations/increased. Our entire family loves this thermometer!
Kinsa is already a brand our family trusts, so I was ecstatic to try this contactless thermometer. The Kinsa QuickScan Non-Contact Thermometer was very easy to connect to the Kinsa app and we were able to use it within minutes. Very easy to use and love that I can get an accurate temperature reading without touching any foreheads. My kids get sooo wiggly when the thermometer comes out (either ear or head reading), they barely noticed I took a temperature with this one! Mom got her temperature reading and the kids didn't feel like their personal space was invaded! I love the Kinsa app- very user friendly and I love that I can assign temperatures to different family members (comes in veryyy handy when multiple kids are sick and I am trying to remember who had what temperature. I can quickly tell our doctor who had what fever at what time and have a record of symptoms, temperatures, and medication. Super helpful!). Would highly recommend this thermometer to anyone looking for one! Easy but not always accurate
This is our second Kinsa thermometer. The Quickscan no-touch thermometer seemed like a great option for dealing with sick kids who aren't always the most cooperative. The problem is that the thermometer is not always accurate. Multiple times when we were recently sick and feeling feverish, the readings were a full degree lower than the Kinsa Quickcare oral thermometer. It is fast and very easy to use. The app is also great. I just wish we could trust the readings. Simple and easy to use
As a 2nd time dad, I've used a lot of thermometers in my day. Mostly the ones they give you for free from the hospital. I was sent this by Stellar Reviews to try out and write an honest review after a period of time of use. This was the first time I've used a contact less thermometer with kids. This is an extremely fast reading thermometer, baby's heads can move around so quick, but this was able to give accurate reads because it's so fast! The app has different profiles so it tracks all the temps so you don't have to remember little Johnny's temp from last night when trying to talk with the doc when you're sleep deprived. User Friendly Thermometer!
Both me and my girls loved how easy and accurate the Kinsa no contact thermometer was to use! Just press the only button on the device and it turns on, then take the temperature! Once you download the app, it walks you through all the steps to set up the device. I let my girls use a real thermometer when playing doctor and I love that the app has the timeline of using the thermometer where you can edit and delete readings or keep them for future reference. Great Thermometer
The Kinsa QuickScan Non-Contact Thermometer is great. Sturdy, but light, accurate and most importantly quick. It can be used either with their app or without. The perk of using it with the app is that you can create a record of your family member's temperatures, that way when you go to the doctors office and they inevitably ask how long have they been sick or what was their temperature you will have an easier time remembering. Their app also includes a nice graph that shows ratios of flu and Covid in your area as well as the ability to set reminders for when you need to give a family member their medication. This has quickly become my go to thermometer. I've had poor experiences with other forehead thermometers where they would not even take the temperature, which left me to use the ones that have to go in your mouth. This one is very good and concise, which, when you have a house full of sick people, is exactly what you need. We love this thermometer!
We've been waiting for a thermometer like this! As a mom of three I find it super useful to be able to take my kid's temperatures easily and quickly AND for it to be recorded directly onto the app. The app was easy to use and I know will come in handy to have a record next time my kids get sick!
